Syrian actor Tayem Hasan has confirmed that his new television show “Al Saqr Shaheen” will not be postponed until the Ramadan season of 2013, as previously feared by his legions of fans. The show is now expected to air in January next year.

A disappointed Hasan revealed that the show was not broadcast during this years Ramadan drama marathon as the production company behind the show had a poor marketing strategy.

The now much anticipated drama sees Tayem playing the leading role of “Al Rayes Shaheen", who works as a fisherman on his boat struggling to earn a living. Through a series of strange events, the star of the show becomes embroiled in different conspiracies that eventually end up with his life being threatened as people turn against him, even those who are closest to the character. With the help of all involved, Tayem’s character becomes determined to face up to his demons and turn his life around.

The drama is written by Islam Yousif and directed by Abdel Aziz Hashad and features some of the best acting talent the Middle East has to offer. Tayem will feature along side Egyptian stars Afaf Shuayb, Rania Fareed Shawki, Tawfiq Abdel Hamid, Ahmad Rateb, Sawsan Badr, Ahmad Zaher, Shiri Adel, in a show that is hotly anticipated.
