ALBAWABA - Taylor Swift agrees to be the "flower girl" at Selena Gomez's wedding to Benny Blanco.

On Wednesday, December 11, a thrilled Gomez, 32, confirmed her engagement to Blanco, 36, via Instagram, flashing her diamond ring and saying, "Forever begins now..."

Swift, Gomez's longtime buddy, then appeared in the post's comments area.

"Yes, I will be the flower girl," the singer said, garnering nearly 60,000 "likes" in only 20 minutes.

Swift, 34, and Gomez have had a tight relationship for almost 15 years. They first met in 2008, on a double date with Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas.

"We dated the Jonas Brothers together!" It was hysterical," Gomez said in a 2017 radio interview. "It was amazing because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair, bangles, and cowboy boots. I was clearly enthusiastic, and our connection was instantaneous.

Swift and Gomez could not find true love with Joe or Nick, but they did find a supportive best friend in each other. The two ladies have frequently praised one another's professional accomplishments while also putting an end to any trolls or feuds that arose.

"I never fit in with a cool group of girls who were celebrities," Gomez told Rolling Stone in 2022. "My only friend in the industry is Taylor, and I remember feeling like I didn't belong. I sensed the presence of everyone around me leading full lives. I was content in my position, but was I truly satisfied? Do these material goods make me happy? I didn't like who I was because I had no idea who I was."

In April 2023, the Golden Globe-nominated actress joined her younger sister Gracie on Swift's successful Eras Tour. During the performance, the twosome wore their favorite Swiftie periods: Gomez dressed as Folklore, while Gracie, who received a hat from the "All Too Well" artist before the song, donned a purple Speak Now dress and ponytail.

"Thank you, bestie, for transporting me and my sister into your wonderful, joyful, and unique world. I'm proud to know you!" I love you forever and always," the Only Murders in the Building star said on Instagram to her BFF.

Several months later, Gomez released her first new single in two years, "Single Soon."

Swift, for her part, turned to Instagram to compliment the song, writing, "When [your] bestie is the bestest." "I think I'll be dancing to this forever."

The following year, Gomez and Swift were beaming as they posed for a photo at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards. Cameras later caught the couple discussing the night's events with Miles Teller's wife, Keleigh Teller.

After the video went viral, Gomez said on Instagram that she told Taylor about two of her pals who hooked up. That's not anyone's business."
