ALBAWABA - Taylor Swift and Beyonce tied for the most lifetime awards at MTV's Video Music Awards.

Taylor Swift's depressing black-and-white clip "Fortnight" with Post Malone was the video of the year.

Swift has said that the stark architecture of the mental institution inspired the songs on her "The Tortured Poets Department" CD.

"This video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was the most fun video to make," Swift remarked as she collected the Moon Person statue from the VMAs.

Someone in the other room would yell out a cheer after each take. "That one person was my boyfriend Travis," she claimed, mentioning Travis Kelce, a football star for the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic," according to her. "I want to thank him for adding that to this shot."

Swift encouraged her followers to vote in the next US presidential election and thanked them for voting for the VMA awards. Though she did not specifically identify the Democrat Kamala Harris in her Wednesday Instagram post, the singer did promote her on Tuesday.

Swift, who is 34 years old, tied hip-hop artist Beyonce for the most VMAs in a career with 30 at the end of the night. On Wednesday, Swift also received many honors, including artist of the year and song of the summer.

With her extended version of "All Too Well" in 2022 and "Anti-Hero" in 2023, she won video of the year for the third consecutive year. This brings her total to five, which is a record for one artist.

Prior to "Fortnight" winning best collaboration, Swift gushed about Malone, calling him "ridiculously talented" and "unfailingly polite."
