An Iraqi student at the faculty of Fine Arts of Baghdad University has obtained a Master’s degree for his theses on the renowned late Egyptian singer Umm Kulthoom. The 37-part serial directed by Ina’m Mohammad Ali was aired by the Arab satellite channels during last Ramadhan. This is the first time for an Iraqi student to undertake a study in this field.
The researcher said that the serials depicting the life history of famous people have recently occupied a significant area in the Arab TV drama programs. This is due to the importance of these serial characters in the various political, artistic, intellectual and social aspects of life.
