Apparently, Justin Bieber was not the only high-profile celebrity in the UAE recently - popular skateboarder par extraordinaire Tony Hawk was in town too.
The famous skateboarder visited Dubai recently and he shared his Dubai experiences on micro-blogging site Twitter and photo-sharing app Instagram.
The boarder visited Skate Biladi, a Dubai skate park, and SkiDubai before sneaking in a desert safari on his trip.
One of the first pictures he shared was of him snowboarding at Ski Dubai, captioned:
Indoor jib jamming. Thanks to Rich at @skidubai for the shooting this.
He next shared pictures of him at Dubai’s Skate Biladi skateboarding park, captioned: bs kickflip, Tasheed, Dubai, today. Photo: @skatebiladi
Just skated Tasheed; a sculpture/skatepark in Dubai. Thanks to @skatebiladi for the ride & info.
Another pic from the Canopi ramp / Tashkeel yesterday. Thanks again @skatebiladi for the Dubai hospitality.
Skate Biladi too shared a photo of Hawk: A little bird just told me a big bird is gonna skate the #canopi and #tashkeelramp today. Oh yeah... And @tonyhawk was there too #tonyhawk #skatebiladi #skatelife #skateeverydamnday #tashkeel #canopibowl #birdman #omg
It seems that the skateboarding legend might also be a ‘Belieber’, as a Jon M. Chu (Director of Step Up 2, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, creator of the LXD & director of GI JOE RETALIATION) shared a picture of the skateboarder at Dubai Sevens stadium, the venue for Bieber’s concerts:
Guess who is your ULTIMATE @JustinBieber Guide??!! True story. #Belieber @TonyHawk
Hawk’s last three pictures from his trip in Dubai were from a desert safari, wherein he is enjoying ‘dune bashing’ and a stroll in the desert:
I went snowboarding this morning, skating this afternoon, and this was my relaxing ride home. #strangestlife #xxxtreme

Goodbye, Dubai.
