World-traveler Tyrese Gibson is no stranger to the Middle East.
The American Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, actor and model has been to this side of the world on several occasions, and even filmed "The Fast & Furious 7" in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
However, the tall, dark and handsome star has added a new destination to his ME map.
Tyrese, as usual, documented his entire trip - from start to finish - on social media. He was so excited about this trip that he even composed a song for the occasion!
On Saturday, 30 May, Tyrese - dressed in a traditional Qatari thoab and headpiece - made his first ever visit to the luxurious Qatari capital, Doha.
Although Tyrese was in town for his "first real vacation in the past seven years," he couldn't help but make it a social and educational trip as well.
Before flying out to Doha, Tyrese posted an Instagram post supporting Qatar's Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser's efforts towards a better education and increased equal rights for women.
"There's a real passion for equal rights and education and one of the most powerful women behind this movement is Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Chairperson Qatar Foundation - aka @mozabintnasser - I'm in Qatar I hope to meet and exchange ideas about education there's so much more we can do if and when we align our powers," he wrote.
Trump it's your blatant racism and discrimination towards Muslims, women and and Latinos and african Americans on so many levels that has already started creating walls and division - when you use words like the "woman card" I take complete offense to this cause I have a daughter and yes I'm raising her to be a young lady soon to be WOMAN with a voice who will never be allowed to be treated like she's less than man..... Equal rights, equal pay, equal "access" to education because she's worthy of it..... There's a real passion for equal rights and education and one of the most powerful women behind this movement is Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Chairperson Qatar Foundation - aka @mozabintnasser I'm in Qatar I hope to meet and exchange ideas about education there's so much more we can do if and when we align our powers.......... Yup... It's safe to say I'm very excited about coming to Qatar!!!! Wheels UP on Friday!!!!!!
Tyrese, in my opinion, is an enlightened, inspirational and kind human being, who should serve as a role model for politicians, fellow celebrities and people of the world.
Tyrese didn't fly solo... "Travel Teddy" and his friend American director Brad Furman flew First Class with the Hollywood hottie, which meant they could stretch their legs for the entire 16-hour flight without being disturbed.
If you think the last five star hotel you stayed at was fabulous, wait till you've seen Tyrese's fairytale suite at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel.
Sometimes you just wanna be alone get on your knees and thank God for his favor to every child, teen, man woman who's living in the ghetto I want you too look at this video and KNOW that I represent what's "possible" from being a GOOD PERSON.... I said this to you before that I believe this is the "Season" for GOOD PEOPLE TO WIN!!!!!! Stay encouraged I come from the bottom literally the struggle was real in Watts, south central LA now I'm on the other side of the world being embraced by some of the most significant people who are welcoming me with open arms because I'm a good person - stay on your path, stay encouraged - Father God I thank you for everything I will never ever ever take your blessings for granted..... #VoltronChairman #Qatar I will be here all week embracing the culture sharing stories and learning more about he great people of this nation....... Through these post I HOPE to change all of these negative perceptions of the Middle East - I'm happy here and more importantly im safe here - blessings and love!!!
But we all know how humble Tyrese is, and this adorable video featuring his hotel butler proves it.
Let the adventure begin
Tyrese's trip kicked off with a private beach dinner with some of his Qatari friends.
Next it was all about hanging out at the spa (who doesn't need a massage or two?) and having some fun, before soft launching Sky Dive Qatar with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad on Tuesday.
And the royal hangouts continued...
Then it was back to business...
Visiting the Education Foundation campus for the second time around.
Just finished my 2nd day of visiting the Education Foundation campus - I am beyond inspired look them up online guys this foundation is massive and they're very involved in education, the most legendary and award winning Arabian horses in the world with the BEST training and breeding program and just overall nice people who have filled my spirit with a lot of information about HOW they're shifting our world through education /. Once again this vision and implementation of the vision of Her Highness Shiekha @Mozabintnasser I would love nothing more than to align my US education contacts with these same global education passions and put like minded people in the same room /. Change minds and it will continue to change lives....
When in Qatar
#QATAR I love you so much...... I never go out - but tonight I had to show DOHA how we turn UP!!!!! I feel most welcome here thank you....... ( you will never see this on CNN of Fox News in America....... Fun times.... Good people.... #MyPerfectVacation shout to my family and brother @Ludacris for 5 whole mins I was YOU!!!!! Ahahahahah!!!
And of course there's always time to visit the US troops
Yup! I'm in the Middle East but as you can see I ain't got no worries.......... Lol!!! He ladies had the biggest guns!!! God bless our men and women of the armed forces....... I play heroes and soldiers in films... You guys are a the REAL HEROES AND SHEROES of our world..... Putting your life on the line everyday to keep us safe...... Air Force base visit while in Qatar....... Over 10,000+ of our troops are stationed here!!!!
The Christian artist constantly counts his blessings, and although he's a follower of Jesus, he decided to visit the Museum of Islamic Art and even pray at the State Grand Mosque, which marked his first ever visit to a mosque.
My first visit ever to a Grand Mosque my heart is been beating so fast and I felt vulnerable just by walking inside - I was given my first course on HOW to properly pray and I truly feel blessed........ Shout to all of the believers around the world...... Inshallah my visions will be blessed for the Middle East -
The Last Supper
Tyrese said goodbye to his Qatari friends at a beautiful intimate dinner, where he said goodbye to what he described as a "life-changing trip."
