YouTube's most popular vlogger, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has returned to Twitter after his account was briefly suspended and unverified after uploading an obscene image and rumors that he had "joined ISIS."

The YouTuber uploaded a video on YouTube explaining exactly what had happened.

Felix said that "yesterday Twitter went full retard" after suspecting that he and his friend had joined ISIS based on a news story tweeted by Sky News (@SkyNeiws).

Seeing that everyone believed the fake news story, he decided, as a joke, to tweet that he and his friend Jack had really joined ISIS and that's why Twitter unverified their accounts.

The truth is, Felix had purposely unverified his account "as a joke" and because he believes the system is annoying. Felix added a globe symbol next to his name instead of the verified blue tick, and invited his followers to "and be globafied" as well.

The Swedish Internet personality has over 47 million YouTube subscribers and 7 million Twitter followers.
