ALBAWABA - A shocking video shows Bahadır Ünlü violently attacking a worker, sparking public outrage and serious legal consequences.
The shocking event took place in the Tomtom neighborhood around 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 13th, and made many people very angry. Allegedly, Bahadır Ünlü attacked Iranian İsmail N., who was working in his restaurant, with kicks and punches, claiming that he was stealing.
Ünlü threw the worker into the air and hit him hard on the ground several times with a baseball bat. On his smartphone, he recorded the minute-long attack.
The video shows that Ünlü pushed the people who tried to help and kept hitting them.
After what happened, police from the Beyoğlu Municipality Police Department locked the restaurant down.
The city's social media account posted a statement that said, "When our teams saw footage of violence against employees at a business in the Tomtom neighborhood going around social media, they acted right away." After the appropriate investigation, the area has been closed off.
Police from the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau caught Bahadır Ünlü and put him in jail. After being screened, Ünlü was taken to the courthouse and held on charges of "intentional wounding."

In his statement, Ünlü said, "Although I don't recall the exact date, three or four months ago, I discovered that an Iranian employee, identified as Ismail N., and for whom I have no contact information, was making irregularities in accounts at my business in the Tomtom neighborhood on various days and dates. When I asked him why he had done so, he denied it, walked up to me, and cursed at my wife and children. A scuffle then broke out between us. I used a baseball bat, a prop in the business, to defend myself. I am the person in the video we watched. I regret appearing before you in this manner."
Ünlü said, "Undercover police officers came to my business today, November 13th, around 10 p.m. and told me that it was closed." For municipality approval, I had asked for it, but it still hasn't been granted. During this time, I kept working at my job. It's not my business who broke the lock. I refute the accusations made against me in this case.
While the investigation was going on, a video appeared of Bahadır Ünlü hitting and assaulting his wife while they were live streaming on social media.
Camera footage also captured Ünlü tearing his shoes in front of his child.
