Ding Ding Ding: In the war of words toady, it's Asala vs Ahlam. But which diva will win this round?
Emirati singer Ahlam apparently has a problem with non-Khaleeji, Arab singers singing Khaleeji songs!
"Leave Khaleeji songs to singers from the Gulf," Ahlam has reportedly said.
But Asala (who has seriously high self-esteem), said in a recent interview that "Ahlam can keep her opinion to herself," adding that she can master all styles of singing, including Khaleeji music. Meow!
The Syrian singer also pointed out that what's most important is for a singer to really feel what they're singing about, rather than focus on their style of singing and demand that they just stick to one style of singing.
Scores are in, and we gotta hand it to Asala: You win this round!
And to say congrats, let's celebrate by listening to our fave Khaleeji song by Asala.
