Iraqi singer Dumoo Tahsin, winner of the fourth season of 'The Voice Arabia' revealed that she was previously refused a signing by rival talent show "Arab Idol".
Dumoo said in the show "Lamet Eid" (Eid Gathering) that she applied to 'Arab Idol', and was refused in the first stage. And not only that but also that her audition did not make it to TV, yet that did not make her lose hope and she applied again to 'The Voice Arabia'.
Dumoo added that she did not mention this incident before, and that it is the first time that she talks about it as no one knows that she applied to 'Arab Idol', but some applicants among which are some known singers now.
Tahsin also emphasized that being refused in 'Arab Idol' was only a step in her way to continue her path of taking singing as a profession, and that is why she applied to 'the Voice Arabia' in its fourth season.
Dumoo's statements reminded of what was rumored about Arab Idol before and that the show refuses some contestants based on their weight; as one Tunisian contestant stated once, which is a statement that Ahlam denied completely at the time.
In another story, Dumoo will take part in Mawazine's festival this year along side Emirati singer Ahlam on the 30th of June.
