Finally, Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz is in the news for something other than his scandalous legal drama with "estranged wife and mother of his twins" Zeina!
This time, Ezz has gotten social media talking about a leaked video of his humble beginnings as an actor.
Appearing in close-up mode before a camera, a young Ezz put on his best acting skills for a TV commercial audition. But it wasn't meant to be... he didn't get the part!
That was 19 years ago. Today, the 44-year-old (who has barely aged) is one of Egypt's most famous and sought-after actors.
Ezz's fans - who clearly are fans of conspiracy theories as well - insisted that Zeina was the one behind leaking the video in an attempt to jeopardize the success of his latest film "Welad Rizk" (Rizk's Children), that's currently screening in cinemas.
According to Al Watan Voice, Zeina was quoted as saying that his recent Eid film release was a box office flop because people are "disgusted" by what he has done and don’t want to see him.
Who's to say what's true and what's not? After all, Zeina did post a devious cartoon of Ezz portrayed as the Devil. But that was at the peak of their fierce legal drama. Is she still holding a grudge against him despite legally proving that he is the biological father of her children? Maybe so, since Ezz continues to contest the paternity claims, and promised to appeal against the decision of The Family Court in Cairo.
