Not written, perhaps, to be one of cinema's most oft-quoted lines, the damn box has nonetheless found its way into pop culture because of the absolute shock—and absurdity—it creates in David Fincher's Se7en (1995), a nihilistic, cynical crime story with a strange humanist core.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow—whose head, off-screen, would have been in the boxxx—showcased a funny sense of humour Sunday when she shared a photo of herself and boyfriend Brad Falchuk in their Halloween costumes.
Falchuk was dressed as John Doe, played, in the original, by Kevin Spacey. And Paltrow?
She was in the boxxx.
Paltrow and Spacey appeared in the film alongside Morgan Freeman and Paltrow's ex-fiancé, Brad Pitt.
