ALBAWABA - With GTA 6 pre-orders set to go live tomorrow, new reports revealed that the game will launch starting at $80, and a $100 Ultimate Edition that will feature exclusive content.
According to Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition will offer users "the most immersive GTA experience yet" by featuring premium vehicles, weapons, cosmetics, and access to activities throughout Jason and Lucia's story. Many fans called the edition "predatory" for locking content behind a paywall despite the game's already hefty $80 price tag.
What will GTA 6 $100 Ultimate Edition include?
The developer added in the announcement that players who pre-order the digital versions of GTA 6 will be able to pre-load the game on November 12, ahead of its November 19 release. The report states further that physical editions will contain a download code inside the box and will be available at a similar date.
A user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Rockstar’s “Ultimate Edition” is straight up predatory bullsh*t. Pay extra for basic outfits, tattoos, a decent car and “story content” that should’ve been in the game at launch? They’re not selling a masterpiece anymore l, they’re selling a $70 beta and DLC skinner box for whales. GTA died when it became this greedy. Wake up."
Another added, "I don’t care about the extra cosmetics. But the fact that you have to pay more to get the special locations and additional activities is bullsit for a preorder. That’s what Star Wars outlaws did and see how that turned out."
