Haifa Wehbe, pop star, diva, Ramez Galal victim...and now bona fide actress.
We had an inkling of what was to come when her frenemy Assala had tweeted "For the first time ever, Haifa Wehbe drawn me to watch her act and pay all my attention to her. She's playing her character perfectly. Bravo, Haifa."
But now the people have spoken, and a recent survey by Laha Magazine showed that 52.8 percent of pollsters have voted Haifa's series Mariam the best series this Ramadan, according to StepFeed.
Mariam is not Haifa's first acting experience - she has previously appeared in the Egyptian film Halawet Rouh (Rouh's Beauty) and TV drama Words on Paper.
But for her known frenemy Assala to say how impressed she is with Haifa's performance, you know the Breathing You In singer has raised the bar this time, playing not only one, but two characters.
One Twitter user wondered why had Haifa kept her talents hidden for so long:
“Haifa Wehbe has done an amazing job in ‘Mariam’. I love her [and her acting.] Why have you kept your talents hidden?”
