He was reportedly arrested on Sunday after failing a roadside breathalyser test.

And many have been left wondering whether this weekend's Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead, following reports that Ant McPartlin had been taken into police custody in West London on Sunday.

Rushing to Twitter fans began to speculate whether the show will be cancelled, as Ant, 42, was reportedly arrested by police after losing control of his car and crashing into two other vehicles.

Viewers of the primetime favourite began to speculate about Saturday Night Takeaway's future hours after reports of Ant's arrest began to circulate.

While some questioned whether the show would air at all, others wondered whether ITV would replace Ant with another presenter.

One wrote: 'Does this mean Saturday Night Takeaway will be cancelled?' while another added: 'I do hope Saturday Night Takeaway will not be affected.'

A third viewers suggested that This Morning presenting duo Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby could fill in for Ant and Dec.

Ant McPartlin representatives and ITV were contacted for further comment.

Ant allegedly crashed his black Mini after losing control of his vehicle on a roundabout in Richmond, West London, which veered into the opposite side of the road and collided with a green Mini, which had a young girl and couple inside.

His mother Christine was in the car at the time and the pair are thought to have been heading home after walking the dogs.

The TV presenter reportedly failed a roadside breathalyser test and was arrested by police, where he remains in custody.

The collision comes after a tumultuous few months for the I'm A Celeb star, who booked himself into a rehab clinic last year after becoming hooked on painkillers and is now divorcing his wife Lisa Armstrong.

The divorce from his wife of 11 years is believed to be costing the star around £30 million of his estimated £60 million fortune.

Just hours before the collision, Ant had been hosting his ITV show 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' with co-host Declan Donnelly.
