Viewers of the primetime favourite began to speculate about Saturday Night Takeaway's future hours after reports of Ant's arrest began to circulate.
While some questioned whether the show would air at all, others wondered whether ITV would replace Ant with another presenter.
One wrote: 'Does this mean Saturday Night Takeaway will be cancelled?' while another added: 'I do hope Saturday Night Takeaway will not be affected.'
A third viewers suggested that This Morning presenting duo Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby could fill in for Ant and Dec.
Ant McPartlin representatives and ITV were contacted for further comment.

Ant allegedly crashed his black Mini after losing control of his vehicle on a roundabout in Richmond, West London, which veered into the opposite side of the road and collided with a green Mini, which had a young girl and couple inside.
His mother Christine was in the car at the time and the pair are thought to have been heading home after walking the dogs.
The TV presenter reportedly failed a roadside breathalyser test and was arrested by police, where he remains in custody.

Just hours before the collision, Ant had been hosting his ITV show 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' with co-host Declan Donnelly.
