A radio DJ with a heart of gold is making it his personal miss.i.on to reunite will.i.am with a laptop charger the singer mistakenly left in Dubai.

The ‘Scream and Shout’ musician left the MacBook power connector on stage at Dubai World Trade Centre in his haste to catch a 2am flight home after performing at the end of last month.

Eagle-eyed Virgin Radio DJ Myles Galloway, who was on stage too, spotted and picked up the charger and is now doing everything he can to return it, sharing the venture with listeners.

He has been doing everything from ringing the Black Eyed Peas star’s label Interscope Records in LA to calling the Apple store in the city to see if they would let him charge it there for now. “Rumour has it Will only has 29 per cent charge left and is struggling to see the screen through his signature shades,” Galloway joked.

Galloway has christened his campaign #Willneedspowervirginradio after Will’s latest album, called ‘willpower’.
