But that did not stop a woman getting arrested after accosting Bella Hadid while brandishing a Palestinian flag outside her sister Gigi's apartment building in New York on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old model looked in no mood to stop and chat as the individual ran up to her with the standard as she arrived at her sibling's home with sidekick Kendall Jenner in tow.
And security duly notified the police of the incident, with the 22-year-old woman being taken away in handcuffs soon after.
However it seems the woman will not be suffering any legal repurcussions for her actions.
For according to TMZ she was released by the New York Police Department without charge following the incident.
Bella and her sister are the daughters of real estate tycoon Mohamed Hadid, a Jordanian-American who has Palestinian ancestry. His estimated net worth stands at $200 million.
He was born in Nazareth in 1948, which was captured by Israeli forces during the Arab-Israeli War that same year.
Back in 2015 it was Gigi who was on the offensive when she some 'haters' to task on Instagram.
She shared a picture of hands decorated in henna tattoos and went on to explain that it was completely appropriate considering her Palestinian roots, writing, 'check out the last name. Hadid. Palestinian and proud of it.'
Palestine, which has never been an independent country, is recognized by 136 UN members and with non-member observer state status in the United Nations.
Its territories were formerly part of the Ottoman Empire, before coming under the auspices of the British Empire from 1920 until 1948.
