When celebs are in the public eye, we see them looking happy and on top of the world. But Lebanese singer Yara's latest music video reveals what life is really like for the famous away from the spotlight.
In the music video for the single “Clip,” Yara was able to show that celebs go through phases of extreme depression and sadness, and that fame and happiness are merely a facade.
The story portrays that celebrities end up feeling depressed and lonely because they cannot lead normal lives, and that they can only be truly themselves from the comfort of their own homes.
The video's idea was director Fadi Haddad's, who wanted to show Yara in a different light to to other stars.
Yara said that she didn't require a male model to star in her video, because she wanted the focus to be on her “real” image without any other distractions, like the ones most music videos have nowadays.
She added that in the past she came up with different ideas and story lines for her music videos, but after all her experiences she felt that she should just focus on herself in the videos, as that's what her fans mostly care about.
