Following her smoking scandal in Algeria, Lebanese singer Yara has gone back to the drawing board to get her career back on track. She has been noticeably absent from talent show 'Najm al Khalij' (Gulf Star) as a sometime judge but Yara's managers say that because she's been busy working on new material.
Yara was caught out smoking a cigarette in conservative Algeria during Ramadan last month but the Christian singer is clearly trying to make peace with her Muslim fans, putting out a special Khaliji single for Eid el Fitr. She'll be hoping the new release, titled 'Ya Aghla Muhibeeni' (My Dearest Fans) will get her back in their good books.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese star has been renewing her contract with her production company and preparing a new single, written by Saudi poet, Wisam. 'Widi Bikhair' will be released in the next couple of days.
