When pictures emerged this weekend of actress, Laila Elwi, supposedly getting harassed by the crowd in Tahrir Square in Cairo, the internet went abuzz with rumors. Laila was at the mass protest with acting pal, Yousra, who was also allegedly attacked.
However, Yousra has finally answered back the reports, telling journalists that neither she nor Laila were sexually harassed at the protest. Legendary actress, Yousra, is a first-timer in Tahrir but said she was treated with respect by everyone.
Netizens were particularly concerned for Laila, who is a distant relative of ousted-Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak. But Yousra said the images just showed fans trying to get close to their favorite star.
