The 'cotton candy' hitmaker - who dated the pop star last year - has praised the 'Bad At Love' singer's culinary skills and revealed she makes a mean banoffee pie.
Speaking about his former girlfriend on Jessie Ware's 'Table Manners' podcast, Yungblud said: "She makes an insane banoffee pie.”
Asked why their relationship ended, he said: “We’re kinda better mates. It was amazing. We just realized we loved each other in a different way."
Following her split from the ‘Weird!’ hitmaker, Halsey - who has also romanced G-Eazy - began dating actor Evan Peters, and vowed never to date another musician, because they always end up talking about work.
She said: "A friend of mine - another female artist who has been criticized for dating a lot of people - said, 'Ashley, you need to live your f***ing life and ignore what people say about you.'
"And so now I keep everything to myself in terms of my romantic relationships. I will say that it's good to not date another musician as then your work follows you everywhere.
"Now it's my personal life so I get to go home to somebody that I love and spend time with them, and it not be about work.”
Elsewhere, Yungblud revealed he bonded with pal Brooklyn Beckham over their love of "football and Ribena".
He said: “I was out in LA when I had 7000 followers on instagram. I had just been signed. I was out with Brooklyn Beckham and Anwar Hadid. I had a mate who introduced me to Brooklyn. He’s the best, very charming. He’s just like British. We were just talking about football and Ribena."
And the 23-year-old Doncaster-born star admitted he hated living in Los Angeles because the people are fake.
He said: “I hate it. I was living in Venice Beach.
“I find people are a bit full of s*** out there, I’m kinda like tell the truth until it gets me in trouble."
