Yuri Imrakadi halts acting career

One day after filming the first scenes of the film “Wara Al Kawalees” (Behind the Scenes), Lebanese singer Yuri Imrakadi suddenly and unexpectedly withdrew from the film, which he was to play the leading role in. Yuri justified his decision to the director of the film that he is unable to find enough time between his singing activities and acting in the film and so he prefers to focus his efforts on his music.

 

The director accepted Yuri’s excuse and so replaced him immediately with actor Ahmad Haroun. Yuri was to make his debut into the acting world with the new film, and was to costar alongside Egyptian actors Mustafa Shabaan and Nelly Kareem.  

 

Yuri is currently taking on a very hectic work load and is placing the final touches on his upcoming album “Ya Kassi”, which is scheduled for release during the summer season in June.  The new album features ten new songs one of which is in the Egyptian accent and another in the Gulf accent, which is written by Sheikh Inhaian Bin Inhaian.

 

Sources of the singer have revealed that Yuri is scheduled to travel to Hollywood to sign a contract with an American production company, which will assign a private consultant to all his entertainment activities. The company will also begin work with Yuri on a new album sung in English as well as organizing a tour for him around the US.

 

Imrakadi has recently signed a five-year contract with the music production company Rotana. The contract states that five albums
