The Egyptian star Yusra has wrapped up her latest song “Wa Anta Btohdhon Ebnak” (While You Hug Your Son) through which she conveys to the western mind and conscious the message about the Arab kid and his stolen rights.
The song was written by Medhat al Adel, composed by Riyadh al Hamshari and remade by Hamid al Sahe’ri.
Yusra intends to film the song with the participation of a large number of kids as the script is about the suffering of the Palestinian child. The music video will be screened at Cairo International Film Festival, which will be held in October 2002.
The song writer, Medhat al Adel told the daily al Sahrq al Awsat, “the song’s theme does not tackle the Palestinian or Jerusalem issue directly but depicts the Arab kid deprivation of rights in Palestine,” adding that the song was recorded in Arabic, French and English. The plans to have it screened at the previous Cannes International Film Festival failed due to the circumstances.”
Earlier Yusra participated in the operetta “al Kuds Ha Tergaa’ Lana” (Jerusalem ill Return to us) in which a large number of Egyptian artists took part—Albawaba.com
