The famous Egyptian actress Yusra denied circulating rumors in the media that she had turned down the award that she received at the “Wahran” festival in Algeria.
The rumor started when the intense began between Egypt and Algeria after their soccer game against each other. Yusra announced in an interview with the entertainment program “Qadyet Al Osboo’” (The Case of the Week) which is aired on “Al Mihwer” satellite channel that “she had received an award from a nation that loved her.” She also adds that “at the end of the road we are all Arabs and her job as an actress should be to bring people together not to create tension.”
It is needless to say that Yusra was upset with the humiliation that the Egyptian people went through after their soccer game with the Algerian team that was held in Sudan. Yusra stated that the situation of the soccer game has nothing to do with her award and said that the media misunderstood the entire situation.
