She was one of the night's presenters at the 2016 Emmy Awards so one would expect her to pay attention to her wardrobe.

Kristen Bell did more than that as she glided to the show at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in a glamorous gown fit for a princess.

The 36-year-old Frozen star looked like she'd just stepped out of a fairytale scene herself in that flower-embroidered number that featured a down-to-the-navel neckline.

Kristen's fair complexion virtually glowed against the buff-hued material that featured an intricate, richly coloured network of flora and fauna and sparkly gems. Her slender waistline was accentuated nicely by a twisting of material before the dress fell dramatically to the floor.

The voluminous skirt twirled as she moved from one end of the arrivals to the next, and climbing up and down steps required a strategic lift of the hem.

She wore her light blonde hair in a slight bouffant with an teasing undercurl while pale coral lipstick and bronzer gave her a peachy glow.

Kristen - who presented the Best Supporting Actress - Comedy award - shared the getting ready process on Instagram earlier in the day which included some facial toning and hairdo prep.

'Look closely...I have serious doubts this is actually a lip conditioning sticker my makeup artist @simonesiegl applied over my mouth...,' Kristen captioned one snap, adding: 'I'm pretty sure she just wanted me to zip it.'

'Caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and said, confidently, "This looks GREAT guys! Let’s go!"' she wrote in the caption.

'Then was informed we’re only half way done. Oh well. #emmys.'

Her Showtime series House Of Lies aired its final episode on June 12, but Kristen managed to garner the spotlight on this red carpet.
