Epson has announced the Middle East launch of its latest interactive projectors: the EB-455Wi and EB-465i. The projectors also come with a digital pen and wall-mount, enabling schools to easily and affordably tap into interactive learning.  Further, with no need for a separate screen or interactive whiteboard, this adaptable solution can make any flat surface interactive – even a tabletop.

While interactive boards have size limitations, with bigger screens costing more, Epson’s unique mirror-imaging design means these projectors deliver a large projected image from a short distance.  The EB-455Wi and EB-465i achieve projection sizes up to 97 and 102 inches respectively and are fully interactive right to the corners. This ultra-short-throw design means teachers can annotate without casting a big shadow, as a 70-inch projected image is created from a distance of just 15.7 and 12.5cm respectively.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, said: “Epson is well placed to understand teachers’ needs and bring easy-to-use interactive projectors to the classroom and to businesses with a need for collaborative working. The EB-455Wi and EB-465i can help teachers in the region bring creativity and interactivity into the classroom, taking the focus away from pen and paper activities.”

With the new projectors, notes, diagrams and additions are created with the digital pen, giving total control of the projection area, and can be saved to share following the lesson. The combination of a powerful integrated 12W speaker plus a microphone input and audio in/out make this a truly effective, plug-and-play multimedia package.
