Ferrari World Abu Dhabi plays host to Abu Dhabi International Triathlon hopefuls

Many of the professional competitors taking part in this weekend’s Abu Dhabi International Triathlon let off some pre-race adrenalin at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
As the excitement builds ahead of this weekend’s showdown, Dirk Brockel of Luxemburg, the 2010 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon runner up, Beijing Olympian and multiple Ironman World Championships top ten finisher alongside Australian Matty White, the Ironman 70.3 and eight-time top five finisher in 2010, raced at speeds of up to 240kmph aboard the world’s fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa, at the world’s largest indoor theme park.
“What a place to let off some steam ahead of the big race,” said Brokel. “Despite its size and scale, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will shoot past us in a blur on Saturday, so it is great to get inside and experience the thrill of the race.”
The competitors will race past Ferrari World Abu Dhabi as part of the cycle leg of this year’s route on Saturday 12 March 2011.
