GAP opens at Bahrain City Centre

Al Tayer Group recently opened its new GAP store in Bahrain at one of the most prominent shopping destinations in the Kingdom. The iconic American retail brand that offers clean and classic clothing and accessories has become a cultural icon around the world since opening in 1969.
Spanning over 10,000 square feet, the new store has relocated at the ground floor in the main atrium of Bahrain City Centre from its previous location on the second floor in the mall, tempting customers with its new and re-energized look.

The new store opened its doors with its new Spring Summer 2011 collection which reflects the lightness and optimism in fashion, particularly after the sobriety of Winter - softer colours, natural ‘make-up’ shades, white, pastels.
The collection is designed to cope with immediacy and spontaneity in people’s lives, driven by the speed of communication today (blackberry, instant messages, social networking etc).Translated in fashion for people wanting to feel polished and sophisticated in their clothes, the active lifestyle demands a wardrobe that’s more versatile and smart.
Denim remains at the heart of the collection but extends further to soft blazers, beautiful blouses, wide leg pants for women, along with slim khakis and smart tees for men.
Gap emphasizes the true spirit of the collection through coloured denim – wide leg flare, pretty blouses. And Soft tailoring – more sophisticated but still relaxed, with the ease of spirit that you know from Gap.
Women’s clothes entail soft blazers in neutral colours, soft drapey trench, Fall’s best seller Relaxed Crop pant in cotton and soft colours for Spring, draped pants, slouchy fine knitwear, dresses with back details.
Men’s collection brings out “Clean” shorts, caramel / khaki colour palette, lower necklines of tees, and Slim Fit khaki.
The collection as a whole has fresh and modern feel – Wide leg pant silhouette, high waisted jeans for a modern interpretation of the 70s influence, and the long skirt.
Denim brings back the high waist, wide leg jeans and the pencil skirt. Also new are the skinny slouch for men.
