Over 600 guests attended the Hope Gala – Abu Dhabi in support of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center and its mission. Funds raised at the event will be directed towards supporting the construction of a new center to complement the existing facilities and introduce the latest in medical equipment and technologies, as well as supporting underprivileged cancer patients’ treatment costs.

Several cancer survivors participated in the event, sharing their stories and spreading a message of hope to cancer patients that cancer can be survived, affirming that with the latest advancements and discoveries, and with the comprehensive cancer care provided by the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), cancer patients now have a greater chance for a cure.

HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, expressed her appreciation for the immense support that KHCF and KHCC received from the United Arab Emirates during what is a challenging time for the entire region. She added “We are fortunate today to have the King Hussein Cancer Center which provides comprehensive cancer treatment comparable to that of the best cancer centers in the West, with the additional distinction of being here in our own region, where patients can remain among their families and loved ones, cared for by doctors and nurses who speak our Arabic language and who understand our fears, all at one third the cost of receiving treatment abroad”.

Her Highness invited all those interested in supporting cancer patients throughout the Arab World to support the King Hussein Cancer Center; the Center for every Arab and Jordan’s medical jewel.

Princess Ghida gave special thanks to HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his patronage of the event and his interest in its success, and thanked Mr. Hassan Ismaik, the Event Host and one of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center’s most dedicated supporters.
