The number of job vacancies in the Bahraini public sector has amounted to 2,217, said Labour Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. He was speaking as he chaired a meeting of the public sector employment follow up committee, the GDN reported. According to him, just 1,136 vacancies have effective earmarked budgets.
Education Ministry has the lion's share with 2,343 jobseekers, compared with 1,190 vacancies reported at the Health Ministry.
