After collecting well-deserved awards in the UK and US, the all new Nissan Pathfinder 2006 is heading to the Middle East to fulfill the demands of the customers waiting for a richer experience with this SUV.

The UK's '4x4 magazine' has voted the Pathfinder its "Best Middleweight 4x4" in the 2006 “4x4 Of The Year” awards. The magazine declared: “The Pathfinder achieves the perfect balance between off-road ability and on-road refinement, a balance which is always difficult to achieve.”

In the US, the Pathfinder was Kiplinger’s choice for “Best New Midsize SUV” and its engine won for the 12th consecutive year Ward’s Auto World “Best 10 Engines” award.

Toru Hasegawa, Managing Director, Nissan Middle East, FZE commented on this achievement: “Nissan has created a car that fulfils the needs of the customers in a non-traditional off-roader – a functional seven-seat interior and a lively 291-hp 4.0L VQ engine, topped off with superb on-and-off road handling, making this 4x4 the perfect addition to any individual’s needs. Getting recognized by world famed specialized automotive media as the best Midsize SUV is a great honor, especially when facing renowned competition. With this win we aim to show our customers that we don’t only claim to have the largest SUV line up, but are dedicated to delivering the best.”

The new Pathfinder remains true to the adventure roots of the original with an all-new larger, more powerful design featuring, for the first time, three-row seating, along with enhanced off-road capabilities and improved performance driven by a new 291-hp, 4.0-liter V6 engine, 5-speed Automatic Transmission, Independent suspension, and a new fully boxed, all-steel frame.

The new Nissan Pathfinder will reach the showrooms of the Nissan dealers in the region in April.
