Bahrain may significantly cut uenmplyement within 18 months, the kingdom's Labour Minister, Dr Majeed Al Alawi said. According to the GDN, he was speaking as he received a Kuwaiti media delegation.
According to labour market field studies, unemployment rate in Bahrain has remarkably fallen from 15 per cent in 1998 to 5.4 per cent in 2005. Dr. Alawi added the next phase of the training and unemployemnt scheme has already started on March 1.
