Bahrain's King Hamad has ordered villagers living around Bahrain Fort to be relocated. According to the GDN, an alternative site will be directed to the villagers in compensation for their houses which fall within the boundaries demarcated by Unesco.
Bahrain's Works and Housing Minister Fahmi Al Jowder is also keen to settle this issue and relocate villagers appropriately, said Northern Governor Ahmed Bin Saloom.
