Delegates from around the world travelled to Dubai to meet with partners, competitors, suppliers and investors to discuss this thriving industry which, as well as leading to unprecedented increases in domestic and overseas property ownership, is having a massive effect on tourism around the world.
Representatives from Nakheel, the organisation behind many of Dubai's Waterfront developments, presented at two key sessions. Khaled Al Huraimel, Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing, highlighted and discussed Nakheel's Waterfront projects at the session: 'Focus on Major New Regional Developments' whilst Saeed Ahmed Saeed, Managing Director, Projects, discussed the background to, challenges faced, and philosophy behind land reclamation on such projects in the session on 'Quality and Sustainability'.
Regarding Nakheel's presence at the event, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, Nakheel said. "Dubai is leading the way in creating innovative, ambitious and ground-breaking waterfront developments, and Nakheel is central to this. Our projects like The Palm, The World and the recently announced Dubai Waterfront Company have redefined the industry and set new standards for others to follow. Dubai is the natural city at which to hold this conference and we are pleased to have been invited to share our experience and ideas with dignified members of the industry."
