US airstrikes pound positions in Sirte, Libya

The Pentagon claims that US military aircraft has struck Daesh positions in the group’s former stronghold in Sirte, Libya.

Media reports indicate the Pentagon will change its mission in the Sinai to include about 700 troops and drones. (AFP/File)
