Kia Jordan crowns 22 winners in the 'Kia in the eyes of its fans' contest
National Arab Motors (Kia Jordan) recently announced the names of the winners in the “Kia in the eyes of its fans” contest, which kicked off earlier this month to mark the launch of the company’s official Facebook page and garnered more than 500 creative participations.
Ala’a Al Abaki received the contest’s grand prize — a brand new iPad 2 and a fully paid trip for two to the Dead Sea — after his Kia logo design earned the largest number of ‘likes.’ Sana Khasawneh followed in second place, earning her reward of an iPhone 4, whereas the next 20 contestants all received brand new iPod Touches.
“We are tremendously excited about utilizing this new communication platform to connect to our clients and auto enthusiasts around Jordan,” commented Kia Jordan’s President, Samir Tayeh. “This page will allow us to tap new heights in transparency and exposure, all the while serving as an unparalleled portal for launching and publicizing various events and activities relating to the Kia brand.”
The “Kia in the eyes of its fans” contest challenged participants to recreate Kia’s logo using any materials they can think of, with the exclusion of painting and drawing. Participants then uploaded their designs to the company’s Facebook page, which in turn received comments and ‘likes’ from more than 60,000 people in less than a month. The contest was organized in cooperation with THE SHIFT — a leading company in the arena of marketing social apps for internet and mobile, which utilized cutting-edge e-promotion practices to publicize the campaign.
