Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi said that 90 percent of Arab men cheat on their wives without having any justifiable reason. She added that despite the fact that women in the Arab world are very devoted and loyal to their husbands, men still cheat.
Amal added that in return the number of Arab women cheating on their husbands in the recent period has risen.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Amal said that it is easy for a man to cheat on his wife, but for a woman it is very difficult especially in the conservative Arab culture. She added that when a man cheats, people easily forgive him, but when a woman acts the same way she becomes an outcast in society.
Amal’s recent song “Wailak Min Allah” (God will punish you) Amal not only reprimands married men for cheating on their wives, but also on unmarried men that make empty promises to women.
The singer said that she knows many women whose husbands cheat on them with women uglier than them.
