Prominent Egyptian singer Amro Diab has launched a campaign on his official page on the social internet website Facebook calling on all Egyptians to give donations to feed the needy during the holy month of Ramadan in the Imam Al Shafi’ie area in Eastern Cairo.
Fans had a positive reaction to the campaign and felt it was a humanitarian step by Amro. Some fans vowed to donate an amount of 150 Egyptian pounds by those who are able and others suggested that since the singer is financially very well off, he should take it on himself to pay for providing meals for the needy on a daily basis.
On his page on Facebook, Amro wished all Muslims a happy Ramadan and hopes everyone will be in good health.
