The court of urgent affairs in Lebanon has banned the airing of an interview with Lebanese singer Qamar on the show “Hadeeth al Balad” (Talk of the town), hosted by Muna Abu Hamzah and aired on the Lebanese television channel MTV.
The program was aired, but without Qamar’s twenty minute interview, during which she discussed her pregnancy and childbirth. Qamar also talked about the father of her two-month old child Jimmy. Qamar said that the father of her child is the owner of the production company ‘Melody,’ Jamal Marwan.
This is the second time that a court order has banned an interview that concerns Qamar from airing. The first interview was with Lebanese broadcaster Tony Khalifah and featured Abbas Shu’aib, who claimed to be the real father of Qamar’s child. Abbas said that he was ready to undergo a DNA testing to prove his claim.
