Lebanese singer Marwa expressed her honor at being recognized at the special honorary ceremony for the injured and martyrs of Egyptian police that was held under the sponsorship of ‘the Associated of Egyptian Police Wives’.
Marwa said that the minute she arrived at the event and saw yhe mothers of the victims she broke down in tears and forgot her recent saga of the porn video scandal that caused her so much heartache. At the ceremony, Marwa sang a number of patriotic songs and the most that touched the hearts of people was the song “Umm Al Dunia” (Mother of the world).
Marwa said that after making her performance, she was presented with an honorary award which was the holy Quran, a gift she felt to be the best she had ever been given throughout her life.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Marwa said that for a long time she had been dreaming of taking part in a humanitarian event like this and the timing came at the right time to bring her out of her misery caused by the scandalous video released that had ruined her image in the public’s eye.
