Lebanese controversial singer/actress Marwa has revealed numerous sides to her personality on an interview she held with the television station ‘Nas TV’. On the show Marwa stated that there is a very strong bond between her and God and she makes it a point to pray all five prayers in addition to hoping to wear the hijab (Islamic headdress) one day.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Marwa also said that she is a very shy person and her real personality is completely different then the one she portrays in on stage and in films. She also revealed that she has Egyptian blood in her through her maternal grandmother, who is from the city of Al Mansour north of Cairo Egypt.
With regards to allegations that she depends on seduction in most of the roles she plays, Marwa stated that when she is offered a role as a dancer she has to be seductive, but not all the roles she plays are of such nature. Marwa noted that her role in the film “Dr. Silicon” she played the role of a doctor. At the end of the day she said when she is offered a role she must play it as it is written whether it be seductive or not.
Marwa also revealed that she will be taking part in a new religious program where she must wear the hijab. The singer said that she is very happy about her participation and will give all of her attention and efforts in performing her role to the best of her capability.
Marwa discussed how religion is a very important part of her life and she is careful to always perform her prayers. She said that when the day comes for her to wear the hijab she will surely resign from her acting and singing profession in order not to have people compare her current state with her past.
