Egyptian controversial singer/actress Ruby has announced that she withdrew from the new television drama “Al Muwatin Al Masri Iks” (Egyptian citizen X). Ruby made her decision to withdraw after the producing company of the drama asked her to lower her wage.
Ruby stated that before the Egyptian revolution broke out, she had lowered her wage by half and lowering it any further is unacceptable.
The actress added that the request of the company is an insult to her, especially after she has proven herself to be a very successful actress and singer.
The producing company of the drama is looking for a replacement for Ruby’s role, but until this point they have not settled on one.
