Controversial Egyptian singer/actress Ruby attended a hearing for the Egyptian Taxation Bureau, accompanied by her lawyer and mother, and surprisingly wearing sunglasses, a hijab (Islamic female headdress) and very conservative clothing.
It was unclear if Ruby was trying to attract attention, or if she really has begun wearing a ‘hijab’ on a regular basis.
Ruby went the Taxation Bureau before her court hearing and paid all of her overdue taxes and late fees, which amounted to 300,000 Egyptian pounds.
Before the lawsuit was settled, the court threatened to sentence Ruby to one year in jail for failing to pay taxes.
