The thrilling weekly TV show “Al Muttaham” (The Accused) hosted Lebanese musician Samir Safeer as guest this week, where he made shocking remarks about female singers in the Arabic music industry.

But Samir didn’t come solo to the studio; he brought his beloved dog “Chu Chu” along with him, where he (and his doggy) took an oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth!

According to Sayidaty.net, the critical guest started off by criticizing Lebanese singer Najwa Karam, who’s known for her very strong and beautiful voice. Samir said that Najwa’s voice is “not right and tired,” adding that he has 600 songs under his belt, and it would take Najwa 600 years to get to the level where he’s at now.

As for the photo Najwa posted with her back turned to the camera in response to his rude remarks about her at the time, Samir said that she’s imitated Maya Diab in the way she responded to him, stressing that this is Maya’s trademark way of answering insults back.

The musician said that the idea appealed to Najwa so she used it. He then said (addressing Najwa): “Who do you think you are treating people the way you do? Did you forget the days when you would answer me with ‘Yes, teacher’?” Ouch!

Never mind the insults, Samir made sure to say that there are no personal disputes between him and “The Sun of Song.”

Samir swiftly moved on to Lebanese diva Haifa Wehbe, who he declared as the “Queen of Seduction.” And if you thought what he said about Najwa was bad, wait till you read what he said about the Leb lush!

“Haifa’s place is in ‘seduction,’ and I refuse to consider her a star in Lenanon; she’s the star of streets in Lebanon and the star of demented sex freaks. She’s terrible when she sings. Isn’t she out of tune when she sings?” he said.

It was then the turn of Emirati singer Ahlam to get roasted! Samir described Ahlam as “stuck up, conceited and full of herself.” He said that Hussain Al Jassmi is the REAL Emirati singer.

Samir did however admit that Ahlam has a good voice, but quickly ruined that compliment by saying: “What do you expect me to say about a woman who’s three meters tall, three meters wide, weighs over 150Kg and then reveals that her necklace is worth a million dollars?”

At least Samir was on Ragheb Alama’s side - Ahlam’s nemesis- and approved of his move to quit Arab Idol as judge, adding that it was a “wise move.” He did however say that MBC TV replacing Alama with fellow Lebanese superstar Wael Kfoury was like a “slap in the face” for Ragheb.

Finally, Samir had nothing bad to say about Lebanese superstar Nancy Ajram, who he described as an “international singer,” and said that anyone who says otherwise is gravely mistaken!
