A hashtag is going viral in Arabic which has Twitter users in the Middle East describing what they would do if the power was in their hands. While some have taken it very seriously, saying that they would seek revenge on their enemies, others have adopted a more light-hearted and humorous tone.
Viral hashtags are common on Twitter in Arabic. So far in 2016, there have been hashtags asking for the loudspeakers of mosques to be banned, for gay rights to be respected, and even one which provoked debate with its wording: “Women are boring.”
