A celebrity Lebanese fortune teller has made a series of predictions about the future of the Middle East, leading to mockery on social media. Leila Abdel Latif has become famous for her fortune telling, appearing on a monthly television show to tell people what will happen in the future.

In her latest episode of “Lebanon Sees” on Lebanon’s LBC network, she made a range of predictions ranging from the bizarre to the somewhat obvious.

- Some prisoners will face the death penalty sparking international outrage.

- The Iranian president will visit Egypt, and the Egyptian and Russian presidents will visit Iran.

Wider world

- Barack Obama will face charges of corruption, and his health will be on the line.

- An assassination attempt on the North Korean leader’s life.
