“Don’t play with your food!” We are all told it as children, but one young Palestinian has made playing with her food into an art form.

Mosheera Ismail Mansour is only 20, but Gaza’s young “artist chef” has already taken social media by storm with her plated masterpieces.

Using dishes as her canvas and foodstuffs as her media, Mansour conjures up portraits of famous faces, quirky sculptures and grandiose abstract designs. Her efforts have already gained the Al Aqsa University student an incredible Facebook following of more than 13,000, as well as slots on local talk shows.

Let’s take a look at some of her most spectacular pieces of work.

Perhaps most impressive - and certainly most famous - among her oeuvre are her reproductions of well-known individuals, which she creates using salt, pepper, flour and various spices. Look out for footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and, of course, iconic Palestinian leader, the late Yasser Arafat:

Elsewhere her work is just as illustrious - check out her ketchup-y cow and Angry Bird made from tomatoes!

Her culinary designs are unquestionably works of art:

“This is a new kind of art,” Mansour told VT channel in a recent segment. “I moved from the studio to the kitchen, and from the kitchen to the studio.”

We certainly hope she keeps up her artistic efforts, so we can continue to virtually devour them!
