According to The Tehran Times, Iran is set to host an international 'Trumpism' cartoon and caricature contest next month in the capital, Tehran. The competition will be held by Tehran's Art Bureau on July 7th 2017 and will feature works by over 550 Iranian and International artists.
Considering the somewhat rocky realtionship between the Islamic Republic and Trump's administration, you may think it bizarre to picture hundreds of Donald Trump's publicly displayed in Tehran, but this seems to be exactly what's in store.
AFP journalist Ali Noorani tweeted a photo of one of the entries by an Italian artist which is currently displayed in a billboard over the streets of Tehran.

In an interview with Mehr News agency, the organiser of the contest Masud Shojai-Tabatabai, noted how politics had a strong influence in bringing attention to the contest, adding “most of the submitted works are from Latin America; 55 cartoonists alone are from Brazil.”
He went on to say that “Trump is a metaphor for us, and we will look into a certain way of thinking in this contest that is based on hatred, sexism and racism.”
We don't know about you but we are certainly looking forward to seeing how this one unfolds...
