A Turkish imam and his cat photos are taking the Internet by storm this week, as posts of the felines taking shelter from the winter in his mosque make rounds on Twitter and Facebook.
Mustafa Efe is the imam of Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Mosque in Istanbul's Üsküdar district. He's a regular contributor to the online bank of cute cat pictures on his Facebook page, which often include gems like these:
Efe is already pretty known for his love of cats. But this weekend, he shared a video trailing a mother cat carrying her young into the mosque this weekend with a caption reading "Our mosque's Friday guests, a surprise awaiting us at the sermon today. The kitty has found the heart of compassion and mercy."

The Internet proceeded to lose its mind over the cuteness, so did we, and so should you. And while this may seem like a totally useless post about people being cute with cats, it is not. Because when is that ever useless?
Have a look at some of the responses and photos below.
