France just authenticated a video of a Frenchwoman taken hostage by Yemeni gunmen eight months ago.

The hostage, Isabelle Prime, is a consultant for Yemen's Social Fund for Development, Reuters said. Her Yemeni translater, Shereen Makawi, was also kidnapped but released in March. No one has claimed responsibility for her kidnapping.

The video shows Prime dressed in black crouching by sand. She makes an appeal to French President Francois Hollande and Yemeni fugitive President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to help her, though she has low hopes for success.

France's foreign ministry on Monday said the country has "mobilized" state services to free the citizen but didn't give any details.

In case you can't hear it, this is what she says in English:

"Mr. Hollande and Mr. Hadi, my name is Isabelle. I've been kidnapped ten weeks ago in Yemen, in Sanaa. Please bring me to France fast because I'm really, really tired. I tried to kill myself several times because I know you will not cooperate and I totally understand."
